Clonandra Cottages are warm and inviting with breathtaking panoramic views overlooking Lough Garrow. Our open fires and oil-fired central heating are sure to keep our visitors warm and cosy in the colder months. Peace and tranquillity is the order of the day as our guests sit back, chill and unwind in a delightful cosy cottage environment. Our onsite 8 person communal hot tub & sauna is just another superb relaxation feature to further enhance our visitors’ overall experience. Add to this the various exhilarating outdoor activities our guests can also enjoy. These activities include fishing (we have privately stocked carp fishing especially for our Clonandra Cottages anglers!), golfing on one of many courses in the area (including the renowned championship course at the Slieve Russell Golf & Country Club), cycling, horseriding, and so much more!
Clonandra Cottages is located on 25-acres of private grounds nestled on the edge of a coarse-fishing lake over looking Lough Garrow. Our scenic accommodation is modern, well appointed and up-to-date, with one of the cottages catering for disabled access together with wheelchair accessibility to toilet and shower.
If fishing or is not your thing. why not hire a cruiser or a barge and take a leisurely sail down the renowned Shannon-Erne Waterway. Cyclists can enjoy the Kingfisher Cycle Trail while walkers will delight in exploring The Cavan Way, The Burren or The Shannon Pot, the source of the River Shannon.
Clonandra Cottages is located in the middle of beautiful countryside. Only 4 kms away lies the beautiful Castle Saunderson Demesne. Walk along the Castle Trail, learn all about the history of the Saunderson family or even take a picnic to enjoy on the front lawn of the Castle. Crom Castle Estate is also located nearby. Grab a coffee in their tea rooms and explore the woodlands and historic buildings. If you prefer something more adventurous pay a visit to Cavan Adventure centre, only 13kms away. Spend the afternoon Kayaking, canoeing or stand up padel boarding. They are even bringing an inflatable water park to Cavan in 2021.
